Ongoing Continuing Research for the 2012 Craft Brewery Pilgrimage

Ongoing Continuing Research for the 2012 Craft Brewery Pilgrimage December 3, 2011

Research continues in anticipation of the 2012 Craft Brewery Pilgrimage!

Please let me know if you would like to recommend potential research locations or, even better, if there are places you would like to participate in this work with me. Significant research can always benefit from more data and peer review.

It can be a challenge to grasp the significance of this research at first glance. More than going places to try craft beers, which is important in itself, each stop on a Craft Brewery Pilgrimage adds to Revelry and builds community. Each visit, and each research trip, strengthens the relationships between great people and gives them new ways to connect to themselves, to each other, and to the world around them. What could be more significant than that?

Two strong candidates that I visited recently are a study in contrasts.

Angel City Brewery has a tasting room in the Arts District in Los Angeles. Their beer is excellent, and their venue includes a gallery with ongoing art installations. Great beer, great conversation with interesting people, and an easy walk from the Gold Line.

I have also visited the Alpine Beer Company pub in San Diego County. Alpine is far removed from downtown Los Angeles, geographically and psychologically. With excellent beer and great food, Alpine was a great place to spend a Sunday afternoon with friends. I really enjoyed Pure Hoppiness, though Captain Stout was my favorite.

Research continues, and I will have more results in the near future.  I look forward to hearing your recommendations, and announcing the schedule for the 2012 Craft Brewery Pilgrimage soon. Please let me know if you have any questions or recommendations, or if you would like to join the research team.

Please help extend and enhance the Revelry and make next year’s pilgrimage even more fun.

Where would you like to help me research for the 2012 Craft Brewery Pilgrimage?
