I have posted about my ongoing research to find the best craft breweries in Southern California to visit on next year’s Craft Brewery Pilgrimage. Even before the culmination of this year’s pilgrimage last month, I was already beginning to think of the future.
Though I have not yet made any final decisions, I wanted to share the preliminary results of my efforts. My research is ongoing. Please let me know if you would like to recommend sites for me to research or, which is even preferable, if there are locations where you would like to join me in my research.
The first two craft breweries I have investigated are excellent candidates.
First, I met Scot at the PackingHouse Brewing Company in Riverside with my friend Dawn. Their beer is great, and their hospitality was wonderful. I am looking forward to going back, and planning a return visit the first weekend in December. I have a friend coming into Riverside, and want to see all the new friends I have made there. I also want to make sure that I can reproduce my research results; one sample is not enough to meet my demanding standards.
I have also visited Alesmith Brewing Company in San Diego County with my friend Beth. Excellent beer, and very friendly people. Beth and I even met some people who were visiting from the Midwest, in California to visit as many craft breweries as they could fit into one week.
Both Dawn and Beth are very well qualified to help with this exhaustive research; they both participated in at least one of the stops on this year’s pilgrimage.
Please help me continue the revelry and make next year’s pilgrimage just as much fun.
