1. That person with a striking haircut, piercings, and tattoos really can help me learn how to us my new iPad, iPhone, and iMac.

2. I may be able to survive without caffeinated coffee.

3. There are people who are interested in listening to what I have to share with them.

4. Being kind is not about the other person.

5. It is possible to be contemplative on Twitter.

6. I learn more when I fall down and get up again than when I do not fall down.

7. There is a good deal of interest in the intersection of leadership, monasticism, and revelry.

8. I am becoming a runner.

9. Julian of Norwich was right: All will be well, all will be well; all manner of things will be well.”

10. Steve Jobs was right, too: “It is better to be pirates than to join the navy.”

11. I am becoming a writer.

12. Yes, I can do this.
